The documents can be sent by home university officials or directly by the students, if they have been nominated for exchange studies in Katowice Institute of Information Technologies.


During the studies the school uses 6-grade assessment system.

Grade in Polish-English / Numerical value and Polish abbreviation

niedostateczny – fail / 2 ndst
dostateczny – satisfactory / 3 dost
plus dostateczny - plus satisfactory / 3,5 +dst
dobry - good / 4 db
plus dobry - plus good / 4,5 +db
bardzo dobry - very good / 5 bdb

Grades: satisfactory, satisfactory plus, good, good plus, very good are positive grades and enable the students to complete the course. At some classes students can be marked only by 'pass' /zal./.
Grade 'fail' (niedostateczny, 2 ndst) means that a student cannot be credited.

Overall classification, grade numerical range:

satisfactory <= 3,25
plus satisfactory from 3,26 to 3,75
good from 3,76 to 4,25
plus good from 4,26 to 4,50
very good from 4,51 to 5,00
